Swirly Whirly

Round and round and round we go… where will it end? Nobody knows! I love roses. They are the most delicate and graceful of flowers.

Open and Alone

A single open bud on this, once again, unknown flower. I love how it sits proud of the green backdrop of grass.

Water Drop Blossom

Water Drop Blossom

Water droplets resting on top of a pink blossom. Hoping to see many more beauties like this one at Bloom 2011 in the Phoenix Park next Thursday. Hopefully adorning less water droplets, and more sun rays. :)

Fluffy Cactus

fluffy cactus

I’m not sure of the name of this particular type of cactus, but it has this spider web of soft fluff at the very top with super sharp spikes poking through. Another shot from the Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin, Dublin.

Vintage Chrysanthemum

Water has such a nice way of sticking to the petals of plants and lovely how it coats this white chrysanth adding to it’s natural beauty. Thanks Photowalk.ie for a great day out in the Botanic Gardens. For me, the rain definitely helped.

Buzz Off

buzz off

Despite the rain in the Botanic Gardens in Dublin today, the flowers were still in full bloom. Nice to still see bees collecting pollen in September and also making an appearance for the Photowalk.ie day out.

Botanic Cactus

Botanic Cactus

My first, and quite unusual picture from my visit to The National Botanic Gardens on Easter Monday. This is a variety of cactus that looks more like a big green rose.
