I’ve recently returned from a trip to the beautiful island of Majorca. I’ve never had an inkling to holiday there before. I’ve always stuck to the Canaries where you are pretty much guaranteed sun all week. But after doing some research on Majorca, we decided to go to Alcudia located in the north east of the island. This is an absolutely gorgeous place. Beautiful weather, gorgeous coastline, friendly people and good food. There are markets every day of the week in Majorca and we were lucky enough to get to go to one. It had absolutely everything from leathers to clothes and textiles to fruit.

The last time I visited the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin’s Glasnevin, the rose garden was closed for renovation. I am happy to announce that it has now been reopened and boasts some of the countries finest roses. I am not the only one to think so. This wasp took a shine to this pretty pink arrangement and nestled its head inside the voluptuous petals to get closer to the pollen hidden inside.
